High intensity discharge bulbs

HID lamps are currently the best all-in-one solution available on the market. Energy saving compared to the MVL type bulbs, a more complete spectrum of light and much longer lasting. In the long run the HID solution offers the most stable and also the cheapest solution to providing light, UVA, UVB and heat to your reptiles. These bulbs have a life expectancy of at least 12 months with normal use.

These lamps are externally ballasted so will need an additional starter unit to function. Use a ballast unit specifically designed for the desired wattage of bulb to be used. Also fit the lamps to ceramic/porcelain E27 sockets only.

The RepTech HID lamps have an integrated reflector of the aluminium housing.
