REPTECH Heat mats with safe switch at 50C

RepTech heat mats offer a sturdy quality. These mats heat objects by creating infrared radiation. Ideal as a secondary heat source (hot spot at night) or as a main source of heat in smaller cages and racks.

Heat mats raise the temperature of objects through infrared radiation. They will not raise the air temperature significantly in large or well ventilated enclosures. If your animal requires high air temperature, an additional heat source may be required. When used incorrectly heat mats can cause damage to glass enclosures, short circuits or even fire hazard. RepTech heat mats
however have been fitted with a safety switch which turns the heat mat off when it reaches a temperature of 50°C. The heat mat will automatically turn back on when it reaches 40°C. This is a safety feature. It is still advised to use this product in combination with a thermostat.

Place the heat mat to one side to ensure a good temperautre gradient within the enclosure.
